Kiev Airport

Also referred to as Boryspil Airport, Kiev Airport, is an important airport located in the city of Kiev in Ukraine. Many people love to refer to it as Boryspil mainly because it is situated near a town known by that name. It might be also worth to note that it is located about 29 kilometers on the eastern side of the Ukraine capital, Kiev. This is today, the largest airport in this country and serves major international flights coming to and jetting out of Ukraine.

It is not just dedicated to international flights but also runs domestic flight operations as well. Kiev Airport again, is one of the three major airports that serve the Ukrainian capital today. It might be also worth to note that it is also a member of the Airports Council International. If at all there are any airports in Ukraine today that have really witnessed a lot of growth ever since inception, this must definitely be part of that list. Kiev airport has not just grown in terms of passenger numbers but rather in a diverse range of aspects.

In the modern day, this airport has got a total of three passenger terminals. Terminal B is dedicated to serving domestic and international flights. The other terminal C was created especially to serve very important personalities. Terminal D started being built in the year 2008 and it is expected to be completed in June 2012. This terminal is expected to serve well over 5 million passengers per annum. Basically stating, it is growing and growing fast for that matter. As I had noted earlier, this is the largest and busiest airport in the whole Ukrainian nation today. The number of international passengers coming into Ukraine through Kiev airport has been on the increase ever since its inception.

The number of international airlines that run flight operations here in Kiev airport has also increased greatly. These airlines have opened up more avenues for Kiev airport to get connected to many more international destinations all over the world. The increase in the number of international destinations has been a major contributor to the increase in the number of passengers coming from various locations all over the globe. As the international airlines continue to put up base here, more and more are joining the bandwagon.
